Warrant executed with RSPCA |
||
|
Yesterday, officers from The Crays conducted a warrant under the Animal Welfare Act at the Star Lane Traveller Site. As a result, one male was arrested on suspicion of offences related to to cock fighting and handling stolen goods. Three air weapons and over 50 horse saddles from a riding school in Kent have also been recovered. The operation was carried out alongside the RSPCA and veterinary professionals to assess the welfare of the animals. Several occupants received advice and formal warnings regarding animal welfare standards and caring for animals. The positive outcome demonstrates the value in working jointly between police and partner agencies, tackling criminality, safeguarding animal welfare and recovering property for victims of crime. Enquiries are still ongoing, Please note that all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
